Abstract:
beta-In2S3 nanocrystals embedded in Nafion membrane (beta-In2S3/Nafion) was synthesized via a facile wet chemical method. The microstructures of as-prepared beta-In2S3/Nafion were characterized by means of diverse techniques. It is found that Nafion membrane can provide a stable matrix to inhibit the agglomeration of beta-In2S3 nanoparticles. Due to the coupling effects between beta-In2S3 NCs and Nafion ionomer membrane, the as-prepared beta-In2S3/Nafion film exhibited excellent photocatalytic activity and stability toward rhodamine B degradation under visible light ( >= 420 nm). Furthermore, this beta-In2S3/Nafion sample is easy to handle and recycle for catalytic purposes. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
