Abstract:
A simple, sensitive, and quick method was established to separate and determine two beta-blockers, sotalol and celiprolol in human urine by capillary electrophoresis-amperometric detection. Under optimal conditions of the detection potential of 300 mu m platinum disk electrode at 0. 950 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) pH 9. 60, 30 mmol/L Clark-Lubs buffer solution, the two analytes were baseline separated in 8 min. The calibration curves exhibited an excellent linear behavior over the concentration range about three orders of magnitude. The detection limits were 0. 05 and 0. 09 mg/L for sotalol and celiprolol, respectively. The method was Successfully applied to the detection of sotalol in the human urine after 36 h of administration of sotalol tablets, and the metabolism curve of it was also obtained.
