Abstract:
In order to assess the strengthening effect of U-shaped steel-bonded reinforcement measure, the dynamic and static performance of a reinforced concrete T girder bridge was analyzed before and after strengthening in this paper. The total length of the bridge is 304.4 meter long and the T shaped main beam is 1.5 meter high. A large amount of cracks were found in main girders and concrete strength also couldn't meet the design requirement. Therefore, the bridge was reinforced by a variety of U-shaped steel plates. The dynamic and static characteristics were obtained by ambient vibration test, field static test and corresponding finite element analysis. The results show that the maximum vertical frequency of the bridge increases by 16.5%, the maximum deflection reduces by 20.0%, the strain reduces in range from 18.1% to 42.2%. The transverse distribution of strain is more stable and the effect of U-shaped steel-bonded reinforcement for the bridge is excellent.
