Abstract:
This paper develops a finite element model for concrete-filled double skin steel tubular stub columns after exposure to ISO-834 standard fire. Reasonable agreement is obtained between the predicted load-deformation curves and the test results. A parametric analysis is then performed to study the effects of different parameters, such as fire exposure time, section type, sectional dimension and hollow section ratio, on the column residual strength.
