Abstract:
Taking slenderness ratio and eccentric ratio as parameters, total of 22 concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) columns with trapezoidally corrugated steel webs, are tested. Based on the test results, load-deflection curves, strains in tubes and corrugated webs are analyzed. It shows that the mechanical behavior of CFST columns with trapezoidally corrugated steel webs is similar with that of CFST laced columns, and the influence of slenderness ratio and eccentricity ratio on the ultimate load-carrying capacity is independent. The load-carrying capacity CFST column with corrugated steel web is reduced with the increasing of eccentric ratio and slenderness ratio. The shear effect should also be taken into account in calculating the load-carrying capacity of CFST column with corrugated steel web.
