Abstract:

Helical bevel gears are crucial components for modem precision machinery as a means for the power transmission mechanism. Based on the movement of mutation, the tooth equations for one pair of nutating helical bevel gears with double circular-arc are developed in this paper. On the application of crown gear, the mathematical modeling of the helical bevel gear is proposed. After the 3D modeling, the visual assembling of the nutation drive is completed. Finally, the kinematical and dynamical simulation of the nutation drive is accomplished.
