Abstract:

This paper has proposed the optimum designing methodology for toroidal drive by the functions of minimizing the whole volume of the toroidal drive and minimizing the relative velocity of the worm and planet. Base on the optimum result, research on 3D modeling and simulation for the toroidal drive has also been accomplished.
