Abstract:
On the basis of theoretical considerations about possible leadership styles in China, we developed a questionnaire for measuring the perception of leadership styles by Chinese employees. The questionnaire was tested by a sample of 201 participants working in different cities of China as Shanghai, Beijing, Fuzhou, Nanjing and some others. As a result, some items were omitted or modified. The questionnaire was formulated in Mandarin. Further analysis revealed the measuring of genuine Chinese Leadership Styles. A resulting comparative analysis with data from Germany revealed that the Questionnaire is able to measure the genuine Chinese Leadership Styles and differentiate them from those outside of China.
