The　seismic　isolation　technology　of　building　structure　is　getting　mature　and　it　has　more　advantages　in　vibration　control　and　more　socio-economic　benefits　than　the　traditional　seismic　structure.　Seismic　isolation　is　an　important　factor　of　affecting　the　shock　absorption　performance　of　seismic　isolated　structure.　However,　the　design　and　application　of　seismic　isolation　constitution　have　been　neglected　in　practice.　In　this　work,　the　design　and　application　status　of　seismic　isolation　constitution　at　home　and　abroad　are　comprehensively　reviewed,　and　the　shortcomings　of　the　current　design　and　application　of　the　seismic　isolation　constitution　are　summarized,　which　provides　a　reference　for　the　further　research　on　the　seismic　isolation　constitution.　Through　the　elaboration　of　relevant　design　results　and　existing　problems　of　current　seismic　isolation　constitution　in　China,　the　next　step　for　the　development　of　seismic　isolation　constitution　in　China　is　discussed.　The　research　results　shall　be　helpful　to　promote　the　improvement　of　seismic　isolation　constitution　and　the　efficiency　of　seismic　isolated　buildings.　©　2018,　Editorial　Office　of　China　Civil　Engineering　Journal.　All　right　reserved.
