Abstract:
By employing N, N-dimethylacetamide (DMAC) as solvent and tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAOH) as precipitant, La0.6Sr0.4MnO3 perovskite with high surface area of 48 m2 g−1 was successfully synthesized via a facile coprecipitation method. The results show that high compositional homogeneity of precipitate was obtained, which contributed to the low crystallization temperature and thus high surface area. The resulting La0.6Sr0.4MnO3 exhibited higher activity than those prepared by other traditional methods for methane oxidation, which could be ascribed to the low apparent activation energy originated from high surface area. © 2017
