Abstract:
To develop an AC control and protective switching device with simple structure and large breaking capacity of short-circuit currents is an important direction for low voltage switching devices. A low voltage control and protection technology was expound, it realized switching control and fault protection with fault early detection and its fast-speed breaking with double eddy current repulsion plate mechanism by replacing the traditional electromagnetic operating mechanism. Firstly, the improved artificial life algorithm was adopted to implement multi-parameter optimization, including the repulsion plate thickness, the wire diameter and the number of turns, and the mechanism's optimum parameters of fast breaking were obtained. Secondly, a prototype was designed and its dynamic characteristics were tested, which verified the excellent dynamic characteristics of eddy current repulsion mechanism. Finally, the control and protective switching device prototype was applied in the low voltage distribution fault experimental system. The experimental result shows that the proposed low voltage control and protection technology can limit and break short currents rapidly, and that supplies a new thought to realize the low voltage control and protection integration devices. © 2017 Chin.
