Abstract:
In this work, SnO2 nanowires have been synthesized and the field emission characteristics of SnO2 nanowires are investigated in detail. The results show that when current density reaches to 1 μA/cm2, electric field is 1.3 V/μm. The current density dramatically jumps to 1.3 mA/cm2 at the applied field of 2.1 V/μm, and its luminous intensity is 1850 cd/m2. This shows that SnO2 nanowires hold promise for field emission display application. And its emission stability will be further improved in the near future. © 2012 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
