Abstract:

The deck roughness of Tongshan Bridge in Fuding was measured by using leveler and laser continuous pavement profilometer respectively. Maximum entropy method(MEM) for the spectrum analysis of deck roughness was adopted, and the advantage of laser continuous pavement profilometer was obtained. The deck roughnesses of several concrete-filled steel tubular(CFST) arch bridges were collected and analyzed, and the presented relationship between two main methods, which are power spectral density(PSD) method and international roughness index(IRI) method, was configured. The deck roughnesses were evaluated from main beam type, main span of arch and service years. It is found that IRI value with exponential form increases following service years. Therefore, the relationship between deck roughness and service years is presented, which can simply predict the deck condition of CFST arch bridge.
