Abstract:
A novel photocatalyst CaSnO3 with microcube morphology was prepared by a facile hydrothermal process and subsequent heat treatment. The influence of pH and subsequent calcination temperature on the synthesis of CaSnO3 were investigated. CaSnO3 was found to be an effective photocatalyst, and exhibited high photocatalytic performance in the degradation of universal organic pollutants. The effects of the crystallinity, morphology and specific surface area of CaSnO3 samples on photocatalytic performance are also discussed. © 2008 Acta Materialia Inc.
