Abstract:
Electrochemistry behaviour of methandienone on glassy carbon electrode was studied in this paper. Based on the voltammetric behaviour research results, it promises to develop a new portable electrochemical sensor for the real-time detection of doping. The electrochemical response of methandienone in 0.04 mmol/L BR buffer solution (pH=2.0) was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, linear sweep voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry(DVP) methods, of which DPV was chosen as the method of quantitive analysis. There exhibited a reduction current peaks of methandienone at the potential of -0.932 V, and the peak current linearly increased with the concentration of methandienone over the range of 2.0~60.0 μmol/L. The method detection limit (D=2/K) of methandienone was 0.43 μmol/L. The method was applied to the assay of methandienone in imitative human urine and methandienone tablet with satisfactory results. The possible reaction mechanism of methandienone was assumed to be the reduction of one proton and two electrons. And it is an irreversible reaction. This study provides the foundation for development of real-time portable doping detectors.
