Abstract:
Reactive powder concrete (RPC) is a kind of cement-based composite which has ultra-high strength. It owns super high mechanical performances, excellent durability, lower shrinkage and creep performances. Based on the compressive experiments of 28 groups of cubes and 14 groups of prism specimens, split and pull strength experiment of 40 groups of carbon fiber RPC with different size and flexural strength experiment of 20 groups of cube specimens with 40mm x 40mm x 160mm. This paper discusses the physical and mechanical properties such as the cube compressive strength, the split and pull strength, the flexural strength, the effect of size, the prism compressive strength, Young's modulus and peak strain etc of the carbon fiber RPC with different curing methods and different volume fractions of steel fiber. Finally, the mechanism effect of carbon fiber by observing the failure phenomenon of cube specimens is introduced.
