Abstract:
The fracture properties of RPC (Reactive Powder Concrete) and fibre RPC are analyzed by the Fictitious Crack Model (FCM) and the linear elastic fracture mechanics. The results show that the crack extension is controlled and the fracture indexes such as fracture toughness, pre-critical extension length are greatly influenced by fibre fraction. We impose cyclic loads on the specimens by the Instron testing machine to test its fatigue life, and then find out the results matching Weibull probability distribution. The relationship of fracture indexes of 107 specimens with fibre fraction to their failure mechanism is presented in this paper.
