Abstract:

This paper reports the crystal growth and spectral properties of Nd 3+:Sr2La0.667(VO4)2 crystals. Nd:Sr2La0.667(VO4)2 crystal with dimension 20×15×15 mm3 was grown by the Czochralski method. The segregation coefficients of Nd3+ in Nd 3+:Sr2La0.667(VO4)2 crystal is 0.52. The hardness of Nd3+:Sr2La 0.667(VO4)2 crystal is 374.6 VDH, and is about equal to 5.0 moh. Nd:Sr2La0.667(VO4) 2 crystal has a large FWHM of 21 nm at 810 nm. The absorption and emission cross-sections were 2.6×10-20 cm2 at 810 nm and 16.4×10-20 cm2 at 1079 nm, respectively. © 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
