Abstract:
Refined natural kaolinitc has been used as a starting material for preparing new lithium fast ion conductors Li1+2xAlxScyNbyTi2-x-2ySixP3-xO12 system by high temperature solid reaction for about 30 h. X-ray powder diffraction shows that a nasi-con-like structure (space group R3c) phase exists in the composition range of x=0.1, 0.2, y&le=0.4; x=0.3, y&le=0.25, a second phase always exists in the above range. AC impedance measurements indicate that the composition with x=0.1, y=0.3 and x=0.2, y=0.15 possess higher ionic conductivities of 1.05×10-4 S/cm and 2.78×10-4 S/cm at room temperature, and have activaction energy of 31.4 kJ/mol and 34.8 kJ/mol respectively in the temperature range from 150°C to 300°C.
