Abstract:

The shape memory effect in Fe-29.7Mn-5.5Si-8.8Cr-5.2Ni alloy was greatly improved by quenching. In particular, the best shape memory effect was obtained by quenching from temperature about 973 K, which with an appropriate amount of thermal-induced Ε martensite in the microstructure.
