Abstract:
A new intelligent contactor with wide-range input voltage and auto-adaptive control is presented in this paper. It will be illustrated that how the performance and specifications of current art contactors can be substantially improved, by using the state of the art technologies in power electronics, microcontrollers and transducers, to achieve superior reliability in a wide range of AC and DC input voltages, energy savings and silent operation. Due to its relatively simple implementation and reduced time-to-market, it is likely for this type of device to establish itself in a variety of applications in the near future.
