Abstract:

The soil parameters of cone penetration test (CPT) in the coastal area of Fujian Province are obtained. The soil classification charts are plotted using the CPT parameters of soft soil, clay and sandy soil. The charts can be used for fast soil classification in geotechnical investigation practice. Thus, results of this research can reduce workload for borehole surveying and the investigation time for construction projects in this area.
