Abstract:
The paper describes the field testing under ambient vibration on a large-span prestressed concrete continuous rigid frame bridge, named Houzhu Bridge, in Quanzhou, Fujian Province. The single-degree-of-freedom identification (SDOFI) method and the peak picking (PP) method in frequency domain and the stochastic subspace identification (SSI) method in time domain are used for the output-only data model identification. The 3-D finite element model ( FEM) is constructed and modal analysis is performed to get natural frequencies and mode shapes by using ANSYS software. The FE model is calibrated based on the ambient vibration and parameter analysis, and then the baseline FE model is constructed. This calibrated FE model can serve as a baseline in the longterm health monitoring and condition evaluation of the bridge in service.
