Abstract:

A scheme to generate two-atom maximally entangled states and realize quantum controlled-not gates and quantum teleportation with dispersive cavity QED is presented. Compared to previous schemes, the new scheme does not require the transfer of quantum information between the cavity and atom. This scheme opens a new prospect for quantum entangelement and quantum information processing.
