Abstract:
The catalytic gasification using alkali matter for Fujian pulverized anthracite was conducted. Under normal pressure, 850°-900°C, and catalyst (compound catalyst 1) content of ~ 8%, a higher gas yield (V > 3 cu m/kg coal) can be produced either in a 18 mm dia fixed bed or in a 20 mm dia fluidized bed. Gas with higher or lower heating value can also be obtained by stream gasification or by mixing (stream/air) gasification. Obviously, the results of this experiment, in which a special Fujian anthracite with a low ash-fusing point was successfully gasified, were better than those obtained from some industrial set of coal gasification even when using the lump coal. Thus, they gave the important information and basis for further commercial development of coal catalytic gasification.
