Abstract:

On the basis of investigated enhancement effect of La, Nd, Eu, and Y on Sm determination with monoxide molecular emission spectrometry,. La was selected as enhancement agent and chemical interference inhibitor. In-the presence of La, dual wavelength method was introduced to eliminate the spectral interference on Sm by other elements. A new method was established to determine samarium in high yttrium rare earth samples with satisfactory results.
