Abstract:
Electrochemical behaviors for a series of trinuclear molybdenum cluster compounds [Mo3OCl6 (O2CR)3]- in acetonitrile and dimethylformide solvents were studied with cyclic voltammetry in this paper. Two redox peaks were assigned. The effect of changing R radical of carboxyl on the redox characteristics of these cluster compounds was discussed preliminarily. In addition, their thermal stability and the thermolytic behavior in nitrogen atmosphere were investigated by DTA-TG method. The effect of changing R radical on the thermal stability of the cluster compounds was discussed. Their possible thermolytic mechanism was also offered.
