Abstract:

In this paper, the binary adsorption isotherms of acetone-n-hexane, toluene-nhexane, benzene-n-hexane and n-pentane-n-hexane on silylanization silica gel are presented. The adsorption isotherms for pure gas are also obtained. It will be seen from the experimental results that the adsorption behavior of the vapor mixtures can be predicted from the isotherms of pure components. The extent of predominant adsorption can be predicted by the first layer adsorption heat of the individual pure components.
