Abstract:
In order to analyze the influence of ultra-high performance concrete layer on the fatigue performance of steel bridge deck,taking the steel box girder of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge as an example,a layer of ultra-high performance concrete was added to the panel to form a steel-UHPC composite deck.A partial steel box girder section model with UHPC pavement and without pavement layer was established by using finite element software ABAQUS.For the orthotropic steel bridge deck with UHPC pavement,the most disadvantageous detail transverse position and corresponding most disadvantageous transverse loading point at the longitudinal rib-to-cover connection have not changed; the most disadvantageous detail transverse position of the longitudinal rib at the longitudinal rib-to-cover connection,the longitudinal rib web and diaphragm web at the longitudinal rib-to-diaphragm connection have not changed,but the corresponding most disadvantageous transverse loading point has changed; the most disadvantageous detail transverse position at the butt weld of the diaphragm web incision free edge and the longitudinal rib lower edge have changed,the corresponding most disadvantageous transverse loading position has also changed.UHPC layer greatly increases the stiffness of steel bridge deck,which greatly reduces the stress amplitude level of each fatigue detail and the probability of fatigue cracking of each detail. © 2019, Editorial Department of Journal of SJZU.
