Abstract:
Experiment study on dumbbell-shaped CFST X-shaped arches subjected to spatial loads under non-directional loads is carried out. The mechanical behavior and failure mechanism of the arch model under spatial loads are revealed. Test results show that the failure mode of the arch model is the extreme point instability, and the arch model has a low initial geometric imperfection sensitivity. The arch model is mainly bearing compression and out-of-plane bending moment under spatial loads, and the out-of-plane bending moment is the main control factor of the ultimate stability bearing capacity of the arch model. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2020.
