Abstract:
The effects of stirring speed, catalyst particle size, temperature, catalyst dosage and molar ratio of acetic acid to butanol on the synthesis of n-butyl acetate from acetic acid and n-butanol over A-36 cation-exchange resin catalyst were investigated and the kinetic model LHHW was used to. process the experimental data. The results showed that the surface reaction was the control step of esterification of acetic acid and 72-butanol, and the reaction enthalpy was -1.838 × 104 J/mol. The forward and reverse reaction activation energies were 5.283 × 104 J/mol and 3.929 × 104 J/mol, respectively, and the preexponential factors were 1.015 × 104 mol/(g·s) and 3.148 mol/(g·s), respectively.
