Abstract:
The influence of heat treatment on microstructure of Ni-P-PTFE electroless composite coating was analyzed with SEM.XRD and DSC, and wear resistance of the coating were studied. The results show that the volatilization of the PTFE takes place mainly in the surface layer and the change of interior PTFE content is small after heat treatment at 400 °c for 1 h. The coating as deposited presents amorphous, crystallization completes after heat treatment at 400 ° for 1 h, and Ni, Ni3P phases are formed. The crystallization onset temperature and the peak temperature of the Ni-P-PrFE composite coating are higher than those of the Ni-P coating, and the crystallization activation energy of Ni-P-PTFE composite coating is 235 kj/mol, which is comparative with that of Ni-P coating. The friction coefficient and the wear loss are the least when the adding amount of PTFE is 8 mL/L Compared with the Ni-P coating, Ni-P-PTFE composite coating shows better wear resistance and the lower friction coefficient under different heat treating temperatuer.
