Abstract：

A　new　type　of　hybrid　semiconductor　co-templated　by　both　organic　cations　and　inorganic　polyiodide　anions　has　been　synthesized　and　structurally　characterized.　The　Z-scan　technique　indicates　that　it　also　exhibits　good　third-order　nonlinear　optical　activity.　©　2008　American　Chemical　Society.
