Abstract:
The tetrapod-like ZnO nanostructures prepared by hyperthermia vapour phase oxidation process are used as the field emission cathode material. The field emission cathode panel was fabricated with ZnO slurry printed and sintered. We packed on the cathode panel and the fluorescence panel, which is printed with phosphor power as a 5 inch field emission display of diode structure. The field emission experiments were carried out and the panel can realize stable field emission, it could display simple the electric field reaches 5.3 V/μm, the emission current density can approach to 5.11 μA/cm2. We obtained the electric field enhancement factor about 6772 by the experiment. The experimental results show that tetrapod-like ZnO nano-material has good electron emission performance and it is also a beautiful field emission cathode material.
