Abstract:

'The template approach' was used for the synthesis of eight metal phthalocyanine complexes containing piperidine group (PEO)4PcM, where M = Zn, Ni, Co, Cu, PEO = 2-(piperidin-l-yl) ethyoxyl. These complexes were characterized by FTIR, mass spectrum, elemental analysis and so on. The UV-Vis absorption spectra, fluorescence emission spectra and capacity of photo-generating singlet oxygen were examined. The results showed that two zinc phthalocyanine complexes possessed high molar extinction coefficient, fluorescence quantum yield, high rate of photo-generating singlet oxygen. The complex with formula β-(PEO)4PcZn had a photoinhibition effect to BEL7402 liver cancer cells up to 83% in case that the irradiation with 670 nm laser light (dosage 1.2 J) and the concentration of β-(PEO)4PcZn with 10μmol/L were used.
