Abstract:
FePd nanoparticles were prepared by a cleaning solvothermal method, using eco-friendly Fe(acac)3 and Pd(acac)2 as the sources, PEG-400 as the reducing agent. Magnetic property and electrocatalytic activity of FePd nanoparticles were studied. The results show that the FePd nanoparticles in as-synthesized sample have the chemically disordered fcc structure and exhibit superparamagnetic behavior. The fcc-FePd nanoparticles show electrocatalytic activity for ethanol oxidation. After annealing in furnace atmosphere of 95%Ar+5%H2, the FePd nanoparticles transform from fcc structure to fct structure. The annealed sample show hard magnetic behavior with the intrinsic coercivity 1.8 kOe. Moreover, the catalytic activity for ethanol oxidation of the annealed sample is higher than that of the as-synthesized sample, and the peak current density of it is 26.6 mA/mg. © 2016, Editorial Office of "Jinshu Rechuli".
