Abstract:

An efficient synthesis of vinyl trifluoromethyl selenoethers from easily accessible starting materials has been developed. The copper-mediated trifluoromethylselenolation of vinyl halides delivers the products selectively and with good yields under mild reaction conditions. Furthermore, a range of functional groups were tolerated. © 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
