Abstract:
Lanthanum citrate was synthesized by using citric acid and LaCl3 as the raw materials. The experimental results showed that the optimum conditions are as follows: pH is 4~5, molar ratio of raw material is 1.2∶1, Temperature is 50℃. Then add to SBR, its effect on curing characteristics and mix of physical and mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber were studied. The results show that the t90 of 2.5% of lanthanum citrate mix can reach 943 s, shortening by 31 s in comparison with those without adding. When the addition amount was 7.5%, the vulcanization physical and mechanical properties of rubber could achieve the best, increasing by nearly 50% than those without adding. Compared to the same time, it was also found that lanthanum citrate on the rubber vulcanization process had certain anti-sulfide reduction. Therefore, lanthanum citrate can be used as SBR rubber curing agent a supplement. ©, 2015, Chinese Rare Earth Society. All right reserved.
