The　design　of　Chinese　traditional　farm　tools　is　the　outward　expression　of　traditional　culture,　and　the　study　on　design　features　of　the　traditional　farm　tools　is　the　important　means　of　the　study　on　the　traditional　technology　and　civilization　in　China.　At　first,　this　article　puts　forward　the　“accuracy”　and　“fuzziness”　concepts　on　the　design　of　the　traditional　farm　tools;　and　then　the　article　expounds　the　reasons　why　the　“fuzziness”　will　be　generated　through　the　analysis　of　the　design　and　the　material　selection,　as　well　as　the　production　and　forming　processes　of　the　traditional　farm　tools;　as　well　this　article　discusses　the　specific　performance　in　the　five　inspects,　including　structural　components,　structural　proportion,　the　mechanical　character,　users　and　applications　of　traditional　farm　implements;　furthermore,　through　the　analysis　for　the　design’s　“fuzziness”　feature　of　the　traditional　farm　tools,　this　article　studies　the　cultural　characteristics　of　traditional　design　in　order　to　inspire　the　design　field　and　promote　the　establishment　of　the　design　system　in　our　country.　©　2015　Taylor　&　Francis　Group,　London.
