Abstract:

In order to reveal the mechanical behavior of recycled aggregate concrete-filled circle steel tube column under axial compression loading. 22 specimens were designed for test. The specimens parameters are recycled coarse aggregate replacement percentage and steel confine coefficient. According to the test, the failure process and patterns were obtained, the whole process curve of stress- strain and secant modulus-stress were measured, and some important parameters, such as the peak stress and peak strain were analyzed, the study indicates that the recycled aggregate concrete-filled circular steel tube columns' failure patterns are similar to ordinary concrete-filled steel tube column. With the recycled coarse aggregate replacement percentage increasing, the peak stress has slightly increased. In the end, the bearing capacity calculation method is discussed. ©2010 IEEE.
