Abstract:

Based on Penzien model and Hertz-damp collision element, the authors construct a collision model considering the PSSI effect and make a collision simulation and a parametric analysis for the adjacent buildings. The study results show that the PSSI effect has a significant influence on the collision between the adjacent buildings and the width of the seismic joint the impact rigidity ,the period ratio of the two adjacent buildings ,the moment inertia of pile section and the shear wave velocity of the soil also have significant influence on the collision responses of the adjacent buildings.
