Abstract:

Research on temperature distribution of induction motor stator is important for reliable operation of induction motor. Aiming at the problems and difficulties in actual test, a new idea of virtual test of induction motor stator temperature distribution based on a 3D temperature field simulation model is proposed in this paper. Meanwhile, a virtual test system of induction motor stator temperature distribution is established. Due to the parametric design adopted by the virtual test system, the virtual test for a variety of induction motors can be performed, only by simply modifying the parameters of the motor. The steady-state temperature distribution and transient temperature change of the motor can be measured under all kinds of running states including the fault one. The temperature value and temperature distribution at any position within the motor at any instant can be obtained with the virtual test. Experimental results show that the proposed virtual test system has good accuracy.
