Abstract:
We have developed an atomizing device to prepare Cu-Ag alloy particles by adjusting the main atomizing parameters. With the help of body phase microscope and XRD(X-ray diffraction), the morphology and phase of atomizing particles were observed and tested to understand effects of the main atomizing parameters on particle size and morphology. The results show that atomizing particles exhibit mainly spherical or near-spherical structure. Ag has preferably dissolved into Cu and not separated into the single phase. The suitable atomizing parameters for preparing Cu-Ag alloy particles with 150 - 900 μm were presented as follows: package leakage aperture of 3.6 - 4.1 μm, pouring temperature of 1578 - 1591°C and atomizing pressure of 3.0 - 3.4 MPa.
