Abstract:

Based on the code of GB/T 19624-2004 "Safety Assessment for In-service Pressure Vessels Containing Defects" and taken the shapes of pressure vessel into consideration, a characterization method on the burial defect in the pressure vessel with curvature surface is presented. It also provides accuracy analysis of the proposed method, the simulation results shows that it is a more realistic way to use arc coordinate system to characterize burial defects in pressure vessels. A new numerical simulation method is presented for analysis the pressure vessels containing burial defects.
