Abstract：

An　XML-based　network　graphic　technology-SVG,　and　its　application　to　WebGIS　are　introduced.　The　framework　of　an　SVG-based　forest　information　issuing　system　is　presented.　Taking　the　forest　data　of　Suian　town,　Zhangpu　county,　Fujian　province　as　an　example,　the　implementation　of　the　system　is　discussed　in　detail.
