Abstract:
A nonlinear finite element model is used to calculate the load versus deformation relations of steel beam to concrete-filled steel tubular column connections after exposure to standard fire under combined constant axial load and cyclically increasing flexural load. Based on the theoretical model verified by tested results, the influences of the fire duration time, sectional dimension, slenderness ratio, steel ratio, beam-column stiffness ratio, beam-column moment ratio, axial load level on the load versus deformation relation of this type connection after exposure to fire are discussed.
