Abstract:

Finite element method (FEM) has become one of the important structural analysis methods for its wide applicability and its exact and nice simulation. It can be used to further the research of concrete-filled steel tubes (CFST), however the calculation difficulties need solving method with better applicability. The FEM application in CFST research was addressed summarily. Some issues, such as core concrete model and interface model were discussed. The FEM model in this paper is reliable by verifying a mass of examples.
