Abstract:

The main span of Xintongshan bridge on Fueling in Fujian province is low through concrete filled steel tube rigid-framed tied arch with three spans(51 m +75 m +51 m). The cross section of arch rib except the part close to the arch springer is new dumbbell-shaped section which is different from the traditional one. Such section is maded up of two steel tubes which are jointed together with steel webs and H-shaped steels and is without concrete in web space. Such section can avoid some great cracks in the weld during the construction. The paper briefly introduces the static load test and the theoretical analysis of the bridge after construction. The methods of modified lattice cross-section presented in reference is used in the theoretical calculation of this project. The calculations meet well with test results. This paper provides some references to the construction of such bridge.
