Abstract:

The flexural force-deformation behavior of eight concrete-filled steel tubular beam-columns was experimentally investigated and the results are presented in this paper. The parameters in the study are the axial load ratio and strengths of steel and concrete strength. The characteristics of load versus deformation hysteretic curve and the rule of rigidity degradation were analyzed. Methods to calculate the bearing capacity for high-performance concrete-filled steel tubular beam-columns are discussed.
