Abstract：
车牌定位就是从含有车牌的复杂背景图像中提取出车牌区域。车牌定位是车牌识别的关键环节。近年来许多国家投入了大量财力和经历去研究车牌定位算法。尽管如此，目前国内还没有一个完善通用的车牌定位算法。文章对传统的车牌定位的算法进行了比较和分析，介绍了最新的车牌定位算法。
